Privacy Policy

This page explains what personal information Bloggersutra collects, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. Bloggersutra is run by Munish Siwatch from Delhi, India. If anything here is unclear, email us at [email protected].
The short version: you can read every article on this site without telling us who you are. We only get your name or email address if you give it to us, and we never sell it.
Information you give us
Comments. When you leave a comment, we store your name, email address, website (if you add one), the comment itself, your IP address and your browser details. The IP address and browser details help us block spam. Your email address is never shown publicly. To show your profile picture, your email address is turned into a scrambled code (a “hash”) and checked against Gravatar, a service run by Automattic. You can read the Gravatar privacy policy.
Newsletter. If you join our newsletter, we store your name, email address, the date you signed up and your consent. We use this only to send you our emails. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can leave at any time.
Contact and guest post forms. When you use one of our forms, the details you type are sent to us by email so we can reply.
Reviews. If you review a product on our site, we store your name, email address, rating and review. Your name, rating and review are shown publicly. Your email address is not.
Information collected automatically
Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit, which pages they read and how they found us. It uses cookies and collects details such as your device, browser, rough location and the pages you view. We use these reports to decide what to write and improve. You can block it with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Advertising. We show ads from Google AdSense and may work with other ad networks. Google and its partners use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalised ads in your Google ad settings, and you can read how Google uses data for ads. You can also opt out of many ad networks at aboutads.info.
Affiliate links. Some links on our site are affiliate links, and many of them start with bloggersutra.com/recommended/. When you click one, we count the click, along with details such as the time, the page you came from, your browser and your IP address, so we know which links people find useful. The company you land on may also set its own cookie to know that you came from us. Read our affiliate disclosure to learn how this works.
Embedded content. Some articles include videos or other content from sites such as YouTube. That content behaves as if you had visited the other site, and it may set its own cookies.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files saved in your browser. We use them for analytics and ads, as described above. If you leave a comment, you can choose to save your name and email in a cookie so you don’t have to type them again. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them, although some features may forget your choices.
Who we share your information with
We don’t sell, rent or trade your personal information. It is only shared with the services that help us run the site: our web host, Google (for analytics and ads) and Gravatar (for comment pictures). We may also share information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Comments stay on the site until they are deleted. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe. Form emails are kept only as long as we need them to deal with your message. Google keeps analytics data according to its own settings.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. Just email [email protected]. We’ll reply within 30 days. Depending on where you live, for example in the EU, the UK or California, you may have extra rights under local laws, such as the right to object to how your data is used.
We follow the CAN-SPAM Act for our emails: we never send misleading subject lines, and we act on unsubscribe requests quickly.
Children
Bloggersutra is not meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has given us personal details, email us and we’ll delete them.
Keeping your information safe
The whole site uses a secure HTTPS connection, and only the site owner can see personal information such as email addresses. No website is perfectly secure, but we keep WordPress, our theme and our plugins up to date.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
