Quick answer

Vuukle is an audience engagement and ad platform for publishers. It offers AI-moderated comments, emoji reactions, article recommendations and a share bar.
Its WordPress plugin is free on WordPress.org and installs the widgets in one click.
Vuukle makes money by placing ads in and around its widgets, and it now puts a lot of focus on ad revenue for large publishers.
It suits news sites and publishers with steady traffic more than small personal blogs.

Vuukle started as a free commenting system and has grown into a wider engagement and monetization platform. If you want an alternative to the default WordPress comments, it’s one of the options worth knowing about.

In this review, we look at what Vuukle offers today and who it suits. We checked its website and WordPress.org plugin page in November 2026.

What is Vuukle?

Vuukle provides widgets that sit on your articles: comments, reactions, recommendations, quizzes and a share bar. It also runs its own ad platform, which serves ads inside those widgets. You can add it with a WordPress plugin, a JavaScript tag, AMP or app SDKs.

Vuukle features

AI-moderated comments: threaded replies, GIFs and images, single sign-on, and a two-layer toxicity filter using OpenAI and Google Perspective.
Reactions: a customizable emoji bar that doesn’t require visitors to log in.
AI recirculation: recommends related articles to keep readers on your site.
Quizzes and a share bar.
Ad monetization: programmatic ads served through Vuukle, with a real-time revenue dashboard.

Vuukle pricing

Vuukle doesn’t publish a price list on its website. The WordPress plugin is free to download, and Vuukle earns money from the ads it runs through its widgets. Publishers looking at its ad platform can request an estimate and onboarding from Vuukle.

The WordPress plugin

The plugin is called Vuukle: Comments, Reactions, Quizzes, Share Bar & Ad Revenue. When we checked, it was at version 5.1.11, last updated in May 2026, with about 200 active installs on WordPress.org.

Vuukle pros and cons

Pros

Free WordPress plugin
AI moderation for comments
Reactions that don’t need a login
Can earn ad revenue

Cons

Ads appear in and around the widgets
No public pricing for its ad platform
A small number of WordPress installs

Who should use Vuukle?

News sites and publishers with active comment sections.
Sites that want extra ad revenue from engagement widgets.

If you run a small blog and want clean, ad-free comments, the built-in WordPress comments may be enough.

Our verdict

Vuukle is more of a publisher engagement and ad platform than a simple comments plugin now. It can work well for news sites that want moderation and extra revenue, but small blogs may prefer to keep things simple.
