How To Increase Blog Traffic For Free & Fast – 3 Simple Strategies will help you to increase your blog traffic free and fast.
Traffic is the life and soul of any blog.
Yet so many new bloggers have a hard time generating traffic.
So I want to share the 3 simple strategies that I used to grow traffic when I started out.
In fact, it was these 3 strategies that were responsible for my first 6,643 visitors and you will have the same success if you spend 20-30 minutes per day doing them.
There is no need to buy any fancy tools or courses, these are the same 3 strategies I used and my blog has grown to make over a million dollars.
Strategy #1 – Contact People Featured On Your Blog
This might seem overly simple, but trust me – it works!
Every time you mention a person, product or service on your blog – contact them and let them know about it.
Just write a short email letting them know you mentioned them along with a link to the post. If they don’t reply to your initial email, then reach out to them on Twitter and let them know.
Most of the time people will thank you and at that point, you can reply and ask them to share it on social media.
It’s super easy for anyone to do and it allows you to get instant access to other peoples audiences.
Strategy #2 – Adding Value To Other Blogs
At the end of most blog posts, you can leave a comment which opens up a whole world of opportunities.
When you leave a comment it includes your name, a profile picture AND a link back to your website.
We can take advantage of this in a number of ways to grab peoples attention and funnel traffic to our blog.
Not only that, but it gives you a direct line of communication with other blog owners and other people that are interested in the same topics as your blog.
I like to post comments that add value to the blog post I am reading.
- If it’s a blog post about increasing traffic to your blog, I might comment with an extra tip.
- If it’s a blog post about someones personal struggles in life, I might comment to let them know I have shared their experience and they are not alone.
Either way, I always ensure that I am adding genuine value to the blog post with my comment to help me stand out from the crowd.
Doing that comes with 2 major benefits-
- You have direct contact with owner/writer of a similar blog who will click to check out your blog.
- You will get the attention of any future readers of the blog post who will also click to check out your blog.
Building this kind of relationships when you are just starting out are invaluable and if you do just 3-5 of these per day your blog will grow.
Strategy #3 – Continuing The Conversation
The other thing that I like to do when I find a relevant blog post I like, is to see who else has commented on it.
Because if they have commented on someone else Yoga blog, then they will probably be interested in my Yoga blog as well.
Not only that but the people that take the time to comment are the most engaged type of blog reader and those are the types of readers you want for your blog!
So when I see comments like this-
I will click through to their website, find their Twitter profile and continue the conversation with them.
After a couple of messages back and forth, I would introduce them to my yoga blog. Simple!
Getting started is easy….
Just do some google searches like “best <your topic> blogs” (eg best travel blogs) and find blogs that publish regularly AND the posts actually get comments.
Then subscribe to their email list or sign up for notifications of new posts and every time they publish something new, take the opportunity to add value with your comments.
I guarantee if you do these 3 things consistently 20 minutes per day, 5 days per week your blog’s traffic will grow.
